FAQs
What brake rotor size works with SuperGear 108mm radial-mount calipers?
SuperGear RF7 108mm Radial Brake Calipers can be used with different brake rotor sizes, depending on the height and design of the caliper bracket.
SuperGear has developed both axial caliper brackets and radial caliper brackets for 300mm, 320mm, and 330mm brake rotors.
Before installation, always confirm that the brake rotor diameter, caliper bracket, front fork setup, and caliper mounting position are correctly matched. Mixing rotor sizes, caliper brackets, and caliper positions from different platforms is one of the most common fitment mistakes on a custom Harley brake upgrade.
What material are the caliper pistons made from?
SuperGear RF7 108mm Radial Brake Calipers use aluminum alloy pistons. This helps keep the caliper lightweight while supporting consistent braking performance for Harley Touring, performance bagger, and custom front-end builds.
What are the main specs of the SuperGear brake calipers?
Yes. SuperGear RF7 108mm Radial Brake Calipers are fully compatible with OEM brake rotors and do not require replacement of the rotor or modification of mounting points.
This allows for enhanced braking performance while retaining the stock rotor.
Will SuperGear calipers help reduce brake fade?
Yes. A properly matched SuperGear caliper, brake rotor, brake pad, and master cylinder setup can help improve braking consistency and reduce brake fade compared with a worn or under-supported stock brake system. Brake fade can also be affected by pad compound, rotor condition, brake fluid, brake line quality, and riding style.
What should I pay attention to during installation?
- Make sure the caliper bracket matches your wheel, fork, and brake rotor.
- Follow recommended torque specifications to secure the bracket and caliper.
- After installation, check rotor clearance and steering interference
